The LMD ElPack customer area was updated with version 4.06 (VCL). This new release mainly fixes the DEP problem in all possible situations. Also trialversions up to Delphi 2005 were updated in public area.
The setup files were updated today. If you miss Themes support (mainly in registered versions with enabled ELPACK_THEME_ENGINE switch), please redownload setup file. -
Customer and public download areas were updated with BDS 2006 compatible installers for all current LMD-Tools releases and subpackages (both Win32 and VCL.NET).

This package represents a free extract of our successful LMD ElPack component suite. It is based on LMD ElPack 4 Lite version, which provides mainly access to the TElTree component along with additional support controls. No restrictions exist - all components run outside the IDE as well and can be used royality free in your applications. Check out the public download area to download latest release.
Some of the main features are:
- Unicode display support
- HTML formatting with hyperlinks and images in every cell
- right-to-left tree order support
- right-to-left text support (for Hebrew and Arabic languages)
- checkboxes and radiobuttons (both Windows and custom glyphs are supported).
- filtered displaying of items. Unique!!! You can set the item as hidden and it won’t be displayed or (optionally) processed when selecting a range of items. This allows you to use just one control instead of several controls on the same place.
- additional columns for each item
- supports multiple selections
- auto-sizing support. When the user double-clicks the resize area of the header section ElTree can resize the section according to the optimal width of the underlying column.
- customizable colors and fonts for every cell
- button-like style for items. Every item is drawn as a button, and focused item is drawn like pushed button
- customizable drag’n’drop
- smart line hints
- item lookup (optional automatic lookup for every column)
- inplace editing for every cell (Unicode editing is not available in SE version)
- owner-drawn items and cells
- smart pictures displaying
- draggable and resizable columns
- filtering support (every header section can have a filter mark and fire an event when the mark is clicked)
- almost complete compatibility with TTreeView
- Supports any Win32 version of Delphi 5/CBuilder 5 and higher.
Limitations against commercial versions are among others:
- No sourcode, no DB support, TElTree is bases on ElPack 4.0 version
- Only 15 controls against up to 172 controls in ELPack 5.0 Professional
- Disabled TElTree features like custom background images, items of different height, OLE drag’n’drop support, non-scrollable columns and so on.

The customer area of LMD ElPack 5 (new registration utility for this area is required!) was updated with version 5.0 Beta 3 for interested user.
In addition a public Beta of LMD ElPack 5 Standard is available in the public download area. No restrictions exist. Please report any problems or bugs in the LMD ElPack newsgroup at news.lmd.de. To learn which controls are included review the LMD ElPack 5 data sheet.

The protected and public download areas of current LMD-Tools 2004 products were updated with complete packages for all supported compiler. Please use your registration utility and connect to customer area to download latest versions. Please check History for latest changes. Trial- and SE-packages were updated as well and can be downloaded from public download areas. Precompiled BDS 2006 files will be available almost immediately after official release of Borland Developer Studio 2006.

We plan to support Dexter (Delphi 2006) as follows:
- LMD-Tools from version 7.03 on (Delphi, C++ for Win32, VCL.NET)
- LMD-Tools SE from version 7.03 on (Delphi, C++ for Win32, VCL.NET)
- All current LMD-Tools sub-packages (Delphi and C++ Win32; also VCL.NET except LMD ScriptPack).
- LMD ElPack 5 (Delphi and C++ for Win32)
For LMD ElPack 4 updated package files for Dexter will be made available and Delphi support will be tested (use for C++ personality will be possible but not fully tested).

The customer area of LMD ElPack 5 (new registration utility for this area is required!) was updated with version 5.0 Beta 2 for interested user. We also added beta version of small tool to switch between different packages sets, so that switching ElPack 4 and ElPack 5 installations is made possible (LMDPackUtil). Regards, LMD Innovative

Prices for LMD ElPack packages were updated and can be reviewed on order pages. Most important changes are the no longer available separate ElPack Lite and CLX versions. Release 4.0 CLX is included in ElPack now by default.
For all orders from 01-Aug-2005 on a free update to ElPack 5 (VCL) is granted (which is expected for release in october). New customers get both ElPack 4 and 5 access data and can take part in LMD ElPack 5 beta test. -

During next days LMD server will move to a new location. During update of IP addresses etc. there may be conflicts accessing certain domains. The domain lmdtools.com will be accessible all the time, though. Besides that newsserver can not be accessed currently via news.lmd.de. Please use news.lmdtools.com instead.

LMD-Tools 7.01 Preview was just released (including VCL.NET packages for Delphi 8 and Delphi 2005) in customer download areas. Note the Preview state for both Win32 and VCL.NET packages, because much of the Win32 code as well has been rewritten to achieve better source code compatibility (the good news is, that one license will always cover both VCL and VCL.NET version). Don’t use this preview for urgent projects and make backups as usual. Nevertheless we encourage you to try out especially the VCL.NET releases and to report any issues either in BTS or LMD-Tools newsgroups. LMD-Tools SE releases will be available soon.
